The Bourse is going green with new Solar Roof panels

The Delaware Business Journal is currently writing an article on the Bourse’s full array of photovoltaic solar panels on its roof built by SolarDock – provider of a unique, patented, solar-panel mounting system for flat-roof & ground installations that requires no penetration of the mounting surface. conducting a Christmas in July campaign.
Stop by the bourse every thursdayin July as we will be raising awareness and funds for struggling Philadelphians.
Donations from Christmas In July will go towards the Emergency Assistance sites in Philadelphia and help those in the most need right now.

Success at KEEP Event

The National Kidney Association screened 100 individuals at the Bourse KEEP, which is the 2nd highest turnout that the National Kidney Association has had for a KEEP screening in the past 2 years and one of the highest turnouts ever! And all 100 participants came out in torrential rain to attend the event.

The 38 volunteers included nephrologist Dr. Debbie Cohen and other volunteers from UPENN, as well as volunteers from Drexel, Jefferson and Temple.

For anyone that missed this free screening the next KEEP that the National Kidney Foundation is having in the area is at Bethel Deliverance International Church, 2901 W. Cheltenham Ave., Wyncote, PA 19095 on Saturday, April 17th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm - www.keeponline.org.

New Ways to Go Green and Save Money

Switching over will help the Green effort while at the same time keeping money in your wallet.

Going Green














The Bourse is currently doing its part to help save energy and prevent further waste. Here is a list of a couple things that will be changing for the better.

1. All mall incandescent lighting & new bathrooms & corridors fitted or retrofitted with CFL's
2. Occupancy sensors being installed in bathrooms & misc. areas
3. 43 KW rooftop solar install in progress - contract
4. Auto flush units & auto faucets being installed throughout
5. Auto paper towel dispensers along with Auto foam units
6. PJM program
7. Looking into ligthing retro for Garage & Bourse Tower along with VFD's for vortex fans for 2010

National Kidney Foundation Hosts KEEP Program

On Saturday March 13th, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The National Kidney Foundation will be hosting their KEEP, Kidney Early Evaluation Program, here at The Bourse.

According to the National Kidney Foundation, more than 26 million adults have chronic kidney disease and 100,000 Americans die each year from chronic kidney failure. Kidney failure can be prevented or delayed through early detection and proper treatment.

Make sure to come to The Bourse for your free screening. Keep an eye out for sign up tables located at both entrances to The Bourse on March 11th, 2010

Food Court Fiasco

The Mission: To open 7 restaurants, with 7 different different cuisines in 8 hours.

On September 9th, 2009 the Food Network's show Dinner Impossible took over the food court at The Bourse. Robert Irvine, the host of Dinner Impossible, and The Bourse management team worked through the night to prepare lunch for 300 tourists the following day. If you missed this great episode make sure to save these dates:
